My wheelhouse
I’m an artist, educator, and mom of two boys based in Berkeley, California. I hold a B.A. in Art Practice and Anthropology from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University’s Teachers College, and bring over 15 years of experience in education and ed-tech as an ESL teacher, curriculum designer, and product manager.
In the studio, I make work that blends clean forms with rich color, subtle movement, and a sense of play. Working in a variety of light and dark stoneware clay bodies and colored porcelain, I explore wheel throwing, handbuilding, mason stains, and the occasional touch of gold luster to bring quiet vibrancy to everyday objects.
My background in education, and a lifelong love of designing and building objects, tools, and experiences, shapes how I work and how I teach. I’m interested in the space where craft, learning, and community meet, creating accessible, welcoming environments and objects that invite connection through the small rituals of daily life.
